With the development of science and technology and industrialization,non-standard optical systems are becoming more and more important in modern manufacturing. However, due to its highly customized characteristics and the need for high precision, the production of non-standard optical systems is not an easy task. This paper mainly discusses how to achieve large-scale production from three aspects: machining, assembly and testing.

1. Machining

The core of the non-standard optical system is the optical element, such as lens, prism and mirror. The shape, size and surface quality of these components have a crucial impact on the performance of the optical system. Therefore, high precision machining technology is essential.

At present, the commonly used machining methods are polishing, optical machining and numerical control machining. Among them, CNC machining can achieve high-precision machining and effective production, so it is widely used. CNC machining uses the computer to control the motion path of the tool to precisely cut out the desired shape on the surface of the optical element, and the details can be further processed by grinding and polishing. At the same time, CNC machining can be mass produced, improve production efficiency and reduce costs.

Step 2 Assemble

A non-standard optical system is composed of many optical components, and the position relationship and interaction between these components have an important effect on the optical performance. Therefore, the assembly process is also a key link in the production process.

The main difficulty of assembly is to precisely control the position, orientation and spacing of the optical elements. Common methods include optical aligners, measuring instruments and automated assembly systems. With these tools, fine-tuning and real-time detection of component positions can be achieved to ensure that each component meets the expected requirements.

Step 3 Test

After the production of non-standard optical systems is completed, testing and quality control are also required. This mainly involves the measurement of optical properties, deviation, distortion and defocus of optical systems.

Optical properties are usually measured by optical interferometers, CCD cameras, laser interferometers and other tools. These test tools can detect various parameters of optical performance and provide accurate data analysis and evaluation. At the same time, the deviation and distortion in the optical system can be corrected by precise mechanical adjustment.

In general, the production of non-standard optical systems is highly customized and complex. In order to achieve mass production, it is necessary to apply high-precision machining, precision assembly and accurate testing and evaluation techniques. At the same time, we should also pay attention to the training of human resources and the improvement of technology, and constantly optimize the production process and improve the efficiency to achieve the large-scale production and market application of non-standard optical systems.
